After months of preparatory work, Arnold Field received its first sections of FieldTurf on Tuesday as dozens of five-yard wide rolls were brought on-site.

Workers lay out each roll, then sew it to the previous one to stitch the field together. Lines for football, field hockey, and lacrosse came already on the turf; logos will be added at the end. The installation is the culmination of nearly two months of work that included excavation of the grass field, re-building of the base with nearly 18" of crushed stone and drainage equipment, and the installation of lights.
