Tod Whitman

Tod Whitman rejoined Lebanon Valley’s softball team as an Assistant Coach before the start of the 2025 season. He was also a member of the program’s coaching staff in 2018. 
 
Whitman began his second stint with Lebanon Valley by helping guide the program to the 2025 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom title and six All-MAC Freedom selections. He also contributed to the Dutchmen tying for the program's second-highest batting average in conference play since 2010. Whitman and the other members of LVC’s coaching staff were recognized for the program’s excellent season with the MAC Freedom's first Staff of the Year honors.

Whitman coached softball at various levels for over 20 years before returning to the Flying Dutchmen. During his first stint with Lebanon Valley, he helped lead the team to the MAC Commonwealth Championship Tournament and contributed to raising LVC’s team batting average. Whitman also spent four years as an Assistant Coach at Dickinson College, helping the squad record its highest batting average in over a decade. Additionally, he served as the Head Coach of the varsity softball team at Palmyra High School for four seasons, leading the program to its first-ever division championship. Whitman has worked with the Central PA Krunch Travel softball program for 13 years as well, serving as a Head Coach and President. 
 
Whitman also has extensive experience coaching baseball, spending 20 years instructing at different levels from nine-year-old programs through high school and legion. He played America’s Pastime for 13 years as well, including one fall season at his alma mater, Kutztown University, and 12 years in adult leagues. 
 
Whitman graduated from Kutztown in 1987 with a bachelor's in Communication Design. He is a co-owner of Breadcrumbs Web Design and is currently a Senior UX Designer at the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency. 
 
Whitman and his wife, Cindy, are the parents of two daughters and have six grandchildren. Their daughter, Erin Darhower, was the Interim Head Coach of the Lebanon Valley Softball team in 2018.
