ANNVILLE, Pa. – No. 5 Lycoming upset No. 4 Lebanon Valley 73-59 in the 2017 MAC Commonwealth Play-In Game on Monday night. The Warriors (15-10) advanced to Wednesday night's semifinal game at Albright, while the Dutchmen's season ended at 12-14.
It was close in the first quarter as a
Taylor Troutman jumper at 5:27 made it 8-7 in favor of LVC, however the Warriors eventually evened the score at 11-11 at 2:24 off a good jumper by Nicole Calella. That score sparked a 4-0 run for Lycoming and they went into the second quarter with a 15-11 advantage.
The game changed in the second quarter, however, as the Warriors outscored the Dutchmen 24-12 in the period to take a large lead into halftime. Throughout the first five minutes of the second, Lycoming went on a 12-7 run to extend its lead to 27-18 with 5:36 to go in the half. The Warriors continued their hot shooting and took a 39-23 lead heading into the break. Lycoming ended up shooting 7-for-11 in the second, a 63-percent clip.
In the third quarter, the Warriors continued to lead by double digits and held a comfortable 19-point lead at 60-41 going into the fourth. In the final quarter, the Dutchmen refused to go away quietly and after Lycoming led by 67-45 with 6:04 to go, LVC cut the lead to 15 with an 11-4 spurt at 2:46, but the clock ran out on the Dutchmen and the Warriors held on for the victory.

Hilary Yoh was stellar for the Dutchmen, scoring 18 points while bringing down a career-high 15 rebounds.

Becky Evans posted 14 points, three assists, and two steals.

Lexie Lantz was also in double digits in points with 11, while
Anne Lehr dished out a team-high four assists.
 - For Lycoming, Shelby Mueller and Kayla Kline registered 18 points apiece and Akilah McFadden chipped in 15 points.
 - The Warriors outshot LVC 44.6-percent to 35.6-percent from the floor.

Jasmine Copeland posted a career-best four blocks in the contest.
 - Lycoming outrebounded the Dutchmen 42-34 as a team.

LVC is set to graduate three wonderful seniors in
Hilary Yoh,
Lexie Lantz and
Taylor Troutman. The Dutchmen will rely on their youth next season in the 2017-18 campaign.
