OWINGS MILLS, Md. - Stevenson moved on in the Commonwealth Conference men's tennis tournament, dealing Lebanon Valley a 5-3 tournament semifinal defeat on Tuesday.
The Dutchmen end the season at 8-9 after a 4-2 Commonwealth Conference campaign. Stevenson travels to Messiah Saturday for the CC title match.
LVC trailed 2-1 after doubles as
Christian Grove and
Jonathan Hastings picked up LVC's point thanks to a win at No. 3, 8-1. In singles, Grove won his match at No. 5 with a shutout and
Nick Jones won at No. 6 to get LVC to three points, but Stevenson ended the match with wins at Nos. 2, 3, and 4.
Jordan Shankroff was battling in a third set and his match remained unfinished.
