How It Happened
A game-changing 23-4 run to end the first half propelled Stevenson past Lebanon Valley 63-47 in the Commonwealth Conference tournament's semifinal round on Wednesday night. The top-seeded Mustangs (22-3) move on to the CC championship game while the Flying Dutchmen (18-9) will await an ECAC tournament invitation next week.

In the early going, LVC looked poised to hand Stevenson its second loss in five days. The Dutchmen began the game on an 8-2 run, forced six turnovers in the opening 10:25, and Bridget Rothert netted 12 points before halftime.

But after Taylor Umbrell's three-ball put Lebanon Valley ahead 21-19 at the 7:32 mark, the Mustang defense took control. A combination of Stevenson's physical play and the Dutchmen's untimely shooting struggles over the half's final seven-plus minutes swung the momentum to the side of the league's top team.

After falling behind by as many as 26 points, the fourth-seeded Dutchmen made a late push and cut the deficit to as few as 13 following five-straight points from Alyssa Cirucci with 6:40 left to play. But the rim was unkind to LVC down the stretch as attempted three-balls found iron but no twine.

Notables
- Bridget Rothert netted a game-high 23 points and was a rebound shy of a double-double with nine boards.
- Stevenson's rubber match victory gave the Mustangs a 2-1 season series' win. Lebanon Valley ended SU's 19-game winning streak on Saturday in the teams' regular season finale. The Dutchmen are the only team to have defeated Stevenson in conference play this season.
- LVC's streak of six straight Commonwealth Conference championship game appearances came to end.
- LVC went to the line only twice before halftime, with Stevenson going 10-for-10 in the first half. For the game the Dutchmen were 6-of-10 and Stevenson 19-of-23.
- Lebanon Valley swiped 15 steals, led by three each from Rothert, Peyton Carper, and Rachel Kelly.
- Stevenson's Sara Tarbert led the Mustangs with 16 points and 18 rebounds.

Next Up
LVC finishes the year with an 18-9 overall record. The Dutchmen now await a probable ECAC championship tournament bid next week.
