MAC All-Century Tennis Teams
ANNVILLE, Pa. - Former LVC men's tennis standout Mic Bender '03 has been named Middle Atlantic Conference All-Century.
Bender, an Academic All-American and Commonwealth Conference Player of the Year, earned a spot on the 1994-2003 team. The teams, part of the year-long MAC100 celebration, were voted on by fans throughout the spring from a ballot of former MAC standouts, and are broken into different eras spanning the century-long history of the MAC.
Bender, a native of Elizabethtown, Pa., was a three-time all-conference player for the Dutchmen from 2000 to 2002, earning player of the year honors in 2001 after winning the MAC Individual Tournament.
In 2002, Bender was named First-Team Academic All-American, the first Dutchman to earn a first-team spot and still one of only three to do so. He went 41-11 in singles and 30-18 in doubles during his career.
