Five Named To MAC All-Century Field Hockey Teams

MAC All-Century Teams

ANNVILLE, Pa.
- Celebrating its 100th birthday, the Middle Atlantic Conference has announced the first of its All-Century teams, naming five LVC alumnae to its field hockey squads.

The All-Century teams, broken into four eras, honored Sandy Fauser '93 and Sue Partilla '90 on the 1988-1992 team, Amanda Ott '00 on the 1993-2002 team, and Alex Wolfe '09 and Jocelyn Novak '12 on the 2003-11 team. Teams were voted on by fans during the fall semester.

Partilla and Fauser were each two-time all-Americans during the emergence of LVC field hockey in the late 1980's and early 1990's. Patrilla helped LVC to the 1988 MAC title and NCAA appearance - the program's first-ever - while Fauser led the 1991 and 1992 MAC championship teams. Both are members of the LVC Athletic Hall of Fame.

Ott was a two-time all-American and three-time all-region selection who was named the 1999 MAC Player of the Year. She led LVC to the 1997 MAC title and NCAA Final Four.

Wolfe and Novak were two standouts in the past decade, both making their mark on the recordbooks. Wolfe graduated as LVC's all-time assists leader (since surpassed) with 36, and scored 136 points to earn all-American honors in 2007 and 2008 while leading LVC to the NCAA Final Four in 2007. Novak was not only one the MAC's all-time greats, but one of the nation's, graduating as the all-time scoring leader in NCAA Division III history (141 goals, 300 points) and as LVC's only four-time all-American.
