ANNVILLE, Pa. - Senior Jon Gingrich was named the Commonwealth Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week Monday.

Gingrich advanced to the final of the MAC Individual No. 4 singles flight on Sunday, doing so as an unseeded competitor. Gingrich upset #2 seed David Brown of Lycoming in the quarters, then #4 seed Kevin Langner of Arcadia in the semis (Gingrich had lost to both in the regular season), before falling to Wilkes' Wes McCollum in the final. Earlier in the week, Gingrich won at singles and doubles to lead LVC to a 6-3 win over King's.
