Pumpin' Iron For Nick Lift-A-Thon
May 2, 2010 - 2-4 p.m.
Heilman Center at Lebanon Valley College
Open to all LVC students, faculty, and staff. Spectators welcome!
ANNVILLE, Pa. - Join Lebanon Valley College football in "Pumpin' Iron For Nick" on May 2, a lift-a-thon to raise funds for the Nicholas Pantalone Fund at the West Shore Foundation. Proceeds will benefit the Pantalone family as
Nick, a junior at Cedar Cliff High School and son of LVC assistant coach
Vince Pantalone, battles a rare form of cancer.
Nick, whose sister
Rachel is a junior field hockey student-athlete at LVC, is currently undergoing treatment at Hershey Medical Center, but will soon travel to New York City for surgery at Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. The Nicholas Pantalone Fund is being administered by the West Shore Foundation, a non-profit organization that focuses on projects benefiting students in the West Shore School District where Nick is a student.
The lift-a-thon will take place on May 2 from 2-4 p.m. at the Heilman Center. All lifters are asked to raise a minimum of $10 and have donations collected by May 2. Checks should be made to Lebanon Valley College with "Nicholas Pantalone Fund" in the memo line.
The bar will be set at either 105, 135, 185, or 225 lbs., and lifters from all backgrounds and experience levels are welcome. LVC coaches will be on hand to demonstrate safe lifting techniques.
