Elmira struck first with a goal from Darcy Vaillancourt and took a 1-0 lead into the first intermission.
Lebanon Valley wasted little time in the second period, with
Daniel Dempsey notching a goal just 54 seconds in. Junior
Brad Surdam and freshman
William Brown assisted on Dempsey's goal. The Soaring Eagles posted a goal at 7:21 to reclaim the lead, but the Dutchmen responded with a goal under two minutes later from
Rory Wilkowich with an assist to
Brad Surdam. Elmira took the lead once again with 25 seconds remaining in the second period with a penalty shot goal from Andrew Wilcox.
The Soaring Eagles recorded two straight goals in the third before
Rory Wilkowich notched his second goal of the game, an unassisted tally. Elmira sealed the win with an empty net goal with 1:11 to play.
Lebanon Valley travels to Neumann Friday for a 7 p.m. game with the Knights.
