ANNVILLE, Pa. - Lebanon Valley College has named Dave Remsburg as its head coach of men's tennis, athletic director Rick Beard '90 M'92 announced Monday.

Remsburg, a long-time assistant coach for the team, moves up to take the place of Cliff Myers, who retired this summer after 16 seasons coaching both the men's and women's tennis teams.

Remsburg will join his wife, Joy Graeff, on the LVC staff; Graeff was recently named the head coach of the women's tennis team. He will inherit a team that is the defending Commonwealth Conference champion after a dramatic late-season run that saw the Dutchmen earn their first-ever NCAA Tournament berth.

"Knowing the program Cliff has built and wanting to keep that tradition alive is why I'm excited to take this position," Remsburg said.

Remsburg had been an assistant coach under Myers since 2002, helping the men's team to a 90-58 record in that span with a conference championship. This spring, with both the men and the women in the NCAA's, Remsburg was responsible for coaching the men in their match against Mt. Union while Myers coached the women at another site.

"I'm pleased that Dave has agreed to stay on and help continue the legacy that Cliff Myers built for LVC men's tennis," Beard said. "His proven chemistry with the team will hopefully translate into continued success for the program."

Remsburg continues to be active as a USTA player locally.

The men will start their CC title defense with two matches this fall, playing Juniata on Sept. 27 and Susquehanna on Oct. 4, both at home.
