ANNVILLE, Pa
. - Lebanon Valley College has released its 2009-10 women's basketball schedule as the Dutchmen look to return to the Commonwealth Conference championship game for the third straight season and advance to the NCAA Tournament.

LVC will play 13 games at home in 2009-10, including their home finale against rival Elizabethtown College on Feb. 16, which will also be the third annual WBCA PinkZone game to raise funds for breast cancer research.

The Dutchmen, 17-9 a year ago with their second consecutive CC championship game appearance, will open the season Nov. 15 at Hood College before debuting at home against Clarkson University on Nov. 20 in the opening game of the Rinso Marquette Tournament. The tournament will also welcome Delaware Valley College and Neumann University.

Four home games will take place before the holidays, with the College of Notre Dame (Nov. 28), Arcadia University (Dec. 5), St. Mary's (Dec. 12), and Richard Stockton (Dec. 17) visiting Annville. The Dutchmen will also play their conference opener in that span, at Lycoming on Dec. 2.

LVC will then head to the Big Apple after the new year to play in the CCNY Tournament on Jan 2 and 3, before playing four of five games at home starting with Wilkes on Jan. 6 and ending with a rematch of last year's CC title game against Widener on Jan. 16 and a tilt with Messiah on Jan. 20.

Hot Dog Frank Day will take place on Feb. 13 against Albright College, with the traditional free hot dogs for all fans in memory of "Hot Dog" Frank Aftosmes, an Annville businessman and ardent support of LVC athletics.

The home finale against Elizabethtown should once again draw a big crowd to the LVC Gymnasium in support of the American Cancer Society of Lebanon and the PinkZone initiative. Last year's game drew over 1,300 fans and raised more than $3,000 for charity.
