Learn More About LVC

Founded: In 1866, as a private, coeducational institution on the site of the Annville Academy. LVC became a four-year institution by 1883 as the lower grades were phased out.

Mission: To provide an education that helps students acquire the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and values necessary to live and work in a changing, diverse, and fragile world.

Curriculum: A four-year program of study in the liberal arts with an academic year comprised of fall and spring semesters and an optional summer term.

Student Financial Aid: Approximately 95 percent receive institutional grants and scholarships. Total financial aid in the form of LVC grants and academic scholarships for 2007-2008 was $18.4 million. The average award was approximately $11,673.

Scholarship Program: If you rank in the top 30 percent of your high school class,
 you will qualify for an academic scholarship that covers up to half the cost of tuition.

Campus: A 345-acre, tree-lined campus, which includes a library containing over 220,000 catalog items and a state-of-the-art academic center. The College provides students with access to the Internet through a campus network that reaches all academic buildings and residence halls with numerous wireless areas. More than 200 computers for student use are located in labs around the campus.

Residence Halls: Thirty-two residential facilities housing 1,184 students in male, female, coed, suite and apartment-style facilities

Student Enrollment: 1,600 full-time undergraduate students, with 146 part-time undergraduates and 45 full-time graduate students
