ANNVILLE, Pa. - After wrapping up one of the most successful seasons in program history, the Lebanon Valley College football team handed out its post-season awards before a packed audience at its annual post-season banquet at Mund College Center.
In addition, the team elected defensive end
Zach Bleiler, safety
Dane Eichelberger, right tackle
Jason Sneeringer, and center
Clint Surgeoner as its 2010 captains.
Offensive MVP - Charlie Parker
Parker, a three-time first-team all-MAC honoree, leaves the program as its all-time leading rusher in every category. He owns the LVC records for career yards (3,757), carries (826), and touchdowns (35), and had 966 yards and 12 touchdowns on 231 carries as part of a twin-headed rushing duo this season with Ben Guiles. The senior ran for 17 100-yard games in his career.
Defensive MVP - Will Keylor
Keylor was a first-team all-MAC selection after leading LVC with 65 tackles at inside linebacker. The senior had 12.5 tackles for a loss with 3.5 sacks, along with an interception and four pass break-ups. He also recovered three fumbles.
Special Teams MVP - Colt Zarilla
Zarilla was recognized as the MAC's best punter when he earned first-team all-MAC honors, and earns LVC's special teams MVP award for the second straight season. The sophomore booted 36 punts for a 38.8 yard average, putting 13 inside the 20 and kicking three longer than 50 yards. LVC had a net punt average of 33.7, the best in the MAC.
Unsung Hero - Bryan Lynch
Lynch was named the team's "Unsung Hero" for the second straight season as the team's fullback. A two-time all-MAC first-teamer, Lynch was the primary blocker for LVC's top-ranked rushing unit, and was a valuable short-yardage back as well. He carried 46 times for 179 yards, scoring three times. Lynch was also named CoSIDA Academic All-Region earlier this season.
Hammer Hit Award - Ju'rey Fowlkes
Fowlkes earned the Hammer Hit Award for his consistant hard-hitting play all season long at free safety. One of his most memorable was an open-field hit on Ursinus wide-out Travis Evans in the fourth quarter of LVC's 27-20 win on Sept. 12 (

Scott Wallace Memorial Award - Brendan Riley
Junior tight end Brandan Riley was named the Scott Wallace Memorial Award recipient, given to a returning team member in good academic standing who displays exemplary play on the field. Riley stepped in at tight end for LVC and helped an outstanding offensive line in blocking schemes, while also catching eight passes for 58 yards.
Walter Sheets Memorial Offensive Lineman Award - Andrew Scott
Andrew Scott earned the Walter Sheets Memorial Offensive Lineman Award after starting all 11 games at right guard for LVC. The junior helped LVC have the MAC's top-ranked rushing offense at 222 yards per game and 4.4 yards per carry in 2009. He also was part of a line that allowed just 13 sacks in 11 games.
Service Players of the Year - Leo Kyte (offensive),
Kory Kramer (defensive),
Kevin Delcalzo (special teams)
The Service Player of the Year awards are given to players who show outstanding dedication and drive in helping the varsity team prepare for their opponents during practice. Freshman quarterback Leo Kyte, freshman nose tackle Kory Kramer, and freshman wide receiver Kevin Delcalzo were all invaluable to the team in mimicking opponents' schemes in practice.
MAC Sportsmanship Award - Nic Shirey
The Sportsmanship Award, which is voted on by the coaching staff, is a conference-wide award given to a player who best exemplifies the ideals of sportsmanship in amateur athletics. Shirey, a defensive back and punt returner, was a significant contributor for LVC, returning eight punts for a 9.6 yard average, and also racking up 18 tackles with three pass break-ups on defense.
