2009 ECAC All-Star Teams

CAPE COD, Mass
. - Junior forward Shelly Lobach and senior back Danielle Blase have been named to the ECAC Mid-Atlantic Region All-Star Second Team.

Both players were first-team all-Commonwealth Conference picks after the season, and Lobach was named a first-team all-American last week.

Lobach drove the LVC offense in 2009. Despite missing three games in midseason due to injury, the junior was LVC's third-leading scorer with 43 points on 13 goals and 15 assists, and she became LVC's all-time leader in assists during the season. She was also the primary penalty corner injector for a team that ranked sixth in the nation in penalty corners taken (13.1/gm).

Blase converted from forward to back before the season and had an outstanding senior campaign, helping LVC hold opponents to 1.19 goals per game while also scoring four of her own with an assist. For her career, Blase started 69 games and scored 30 goals with four assists.
