ANNVILLE, Pa. - The honors continue for Caitlin Vasey and Eric Woods this week, as the ECAC has named each Division III South Player of the Week for field hockey and men's soccer. Earlier this week, each received Player of the Week awards from the Commonwealth Conference.
Vasey tied an LVC program record with four assists in a game against Widener as she led LVC to a 2-0 week and the CC's #2 playoff seed. Vasey had three goals and five assists in two games. Against E-town, she scored the game's first and last goals, and also assisted on another; against Widener, the freshman had a hand in five of the six goals, assisting on four and scoring another. She was also named ECAC Player of the Week on October 7.
Woods had his most prolific week as a collegian in the final week of the regular season, scoring a pair of goals in a 7-4 slugfest against King's College and then netting the game-winner in overtime as LVC downed Lycoming, 3-2, on the final day of the season. The win over the Warriors clinced a CC playoff berth for LVC.
