HUNTINGDON, Pa. - The LVC men's tennis team finished its fall slate with a shutout victory, topping Juniata 9-0 on Tuesday.
The Dutchmen (2-0), who were playing their second of two fall dates, had little trouble with the Eagles, who fell to 0-4.
LVC swept all three doubles matches easily, but were pushed at several singles flights. At No. 3,
Ethan Grodzinski notched his first career win with a hard-earned supertiebreak victory over Brice Morey, 4-6, 6-1, 10-6, and
Andrew Deckert also needed a supertiebreak to beat Andrew Hoffman, 6-7 (7-5), 6-2, 10-5.
The other four wins came in straight sets, with
Matt Grodzinski winning 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1 over Jarrad Silver,
Tom Neckelmann beating Tucker Good 6-4, 6-2, at No. 2,
Jon Gingrich blanking Scott Andrews 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4, and
Kyle Kahl topped Alden Hiller, 6-2, 6-1, at No. 6.
