Caitlin Vasey (field hockey) have each been named the Commonwealth Conference Player of the Week for their respective sports, the CC announced Monday.
Grodzinski went 8-0 at No. 1 singles and doubles last week as LVC won all four of its matches against previously unbeaten competition. Grodzinski's toughest singles match came against King's, when she picked up a key win in the match over Jillian Tallarico in a tiebreak, 6-0, 2-6, 10-6.
Snyder, who was also named the CC volleyball player of the week on Sept. 8, was named MVP of the F&M Scramble this weekend after she led LVC to a 3-0 record and the tournament championship. She became the sixth Dutchman to reach 1,000 career kills with a 15-kill, error-free match against Stevenson on Sunday.
Vasey had a had a breakout week for LVC, starting for the first time and scoring six goals and two assists in three LVC wins. Vasey began the week with her first career hat trick at Albright, then scored twice at FDU-Florham and added another goal against Stevenson. In three games, Vasey averaged 4.67 points per game.
