Box Score
ANNVILLE, Pa. - A tight game slipped away from Lebanon Valley in a span of 2:55 in the second half on Wednesday as visiting Wesley scored two quick goals to extend a 1-0 lead to the final 3-0 margin.
Cheslea Buttacavoli scored in the 47th minute and Kim Fearnbach added a goal in the 50th minute, providing more than enough insurance for the Wolverines.
Lindsey Campbell opened the scoring for Wesley with a goal in the 22nd minute.
The three goals all came in different forms. Campbell's goal was a long shot from outside the box that curled just over the outstretched arms of LVC goalie Aly Reitmeyer. Buttacavoli's strike was a nice solo effort as she worked down low in the corner, beat a LVC defender and moved toward goal, sending a low shot into the net. Fearnbach added a deft header of a long Hannah Hardman pass for the final tally.
Reitmeyer made five saves in the loss for the Dutchmen.
LVC outshote Wesley, 17-0, but Wolverine keeper Sydney Kahan made all seven saves she was forced to make.
LVC falls to 6-10-1 and is back on the field at Widener Oct. 24 at 1 p.m.
