For the second time in program history and second straight year, the Lebanon Valley College women's volleyball team will enter the season as the defending Commonwealth Conference champions. In the annual preseason poll voted on by the coaches released Wednesday, the Dutchmen were selected to repeat with five first place votes and 47 total points.

Lebanon Valley College earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award for the 2009-2010 season, as announced by the organization Tuesday. The Dutchmen were one of 450 teams to be honored.

Emily Hopkins of the volleyball team have been selected to leadership positions with the Lebanon Valley College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). Lee has been selected to represent the Middle Atlantic Conference on the national level, while Hopkins has been elected president of the conference's SAAC.
